ABSTRACT

Diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (PD) based on speech data has been proved to be an effective way in recent years. However, current researches just care about the feature extraction and classifier design, and do not consider the instance selection. Former research by authors showed that the instance selection can lead to improvement on classification accuracy. However, no attention is paid on the relationship between speech sample and feature until now. Therefore, a new diagnosis algorithm of PD is proposed in this paper by simultaneously selecting speech sample and feature based on relevant feature weighting algorithm and multiple kernel method, so as to find their synergy effects, thereby improving classification accuracy. Experimental results showed that this proposed algorithm obtained apparent improvement on classification accuracy. It can obtain mean classification accuracy of 82.5%, which was 30.5% higher than the relevant algorithm. Besides, the proposed algorithm detected the synergy effects of speech sample and feature, which is valuable for speech marker extraction.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the antimicrobial resistance of main clinical isolates from ICU during 2012 .Methods Auto-matic microbiology analysis system and the disk diffusion method were performed to determine the antimicrobial susceptibility .All the data were analyzed by WHONET5 .6 software according to the breakpoints of The American Association of Clinical Laboratory Standardization Institute (CLSI) 2012 .Results A total of non-repeated 1 374 clinical isolates were collected in ICU during 2012 , including 1 089 strains (79 .3% ) of Gram-negative bacilli and 285 strains (20 .7% )of Gram-positive cocci ;The top five pathogens were Acinetobacter baumannii ,Pseudomonas aeruginosa ,Escherichia coli ,Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus ;Some Enterobacteriaceae strains were resistant to imipenem or ertapenem .2 strains of Enterococcus faecium were found resistant to van-comycin .Conclusion Non-fermenting bacteria ,Enterobacteriaceae and Staphylococci remain the predominant pathogens isolated from the patients in ICU ,their drug resistance is serious ,it is important to use antibacterial agents rationally and strengthen the sur-veillance of bacterial drug resistance .

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#The aim of this study is to investigate the incidence and natural history of secretory otitis media(SOM) and hearing loss in newborns and infants with cleft palate, consequently, define its audiological criteria and to predict SOM early.@*METHOD@#Seventy-three newborns and infants with a cleft palate (146 ears) were monthly estimated by tympanogram, static compliance, acoustic stapedius reflex and auditory brainstem response (ABR) under natural sleep within one year of age.@*RESULT@#Au the infants with cleft palate had the suspected SOM in the first 6 months of life. Among children with cleft palate, the suspected SOM were most prevalent in the 3-month-age. 78. 8% infants with cleft palate had the confirmed SOM in the first 12 months of life. SOM were most prevalent in the 6-month-age. The SOM prodromal period was averagely 3. 8 months from suspected SOM to confirmed SOM. 56. 2% infants with cleft palate had a conductive hearing loss in the first 12 months of life. The conduction hearing thresholds of ABR (2-4 Hz) were averagely 48. 6 dBnHL.@*CONCLUSION@#The highest incidence of SOM and hearing loss in children with cleft palate appear in infants in the first 1 year of life. The process of SOM and hearing loss onset is progressive process. The infants with cleft palate should be estimated by ABR and acoustic immittance audiometry in each period of 2 or 3 months after birth.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effects of berberine hydrochloride on human periodontal ligament cells(HPDLCs) cultured in vitro. Methods:Cell proliferation activity was assayed by using MTT method. The total protein was detected by Coumassie Bright Blue method and the alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activities were measured by spectrophotometric assay. Results:①Comparing with the control group, the proliferative ability of PDLCs in berberine hydrochloride (0.005,0.010,0.020,0.030 g/L)groups at 24 h and (0.005,0.010,0.020 g/L)groups at 48 h and (0.010,0.020 g/L)groups at 72 h were considerably increased(P

ABSTRACT

Objective: To investigate the mental health status and related factors of middle school mathematics teachers under curriculum reformation in xi'an area. Methods: Teachers were selected by cluster sampling as all the teachers participating in mathematics teaching training.Questionnaires including Symptom Check list-90(SCL-90),center for epidemiological studies depression scale(CES-D),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),Eysenck personality questionnaire EPQ and social support rating scale(SSRS) were used. Results: Teachers from rural middle schools got higher scores of SCL-90,CES-D,SAS,N,P than those from urban middle schools.Teachers from non-key middle schools got higher scores of SCL-90,CES-D,SAS,N,P than those from key middle schools.Teachers from urban middle schools got significantly higher scores of utilization of social support than those from rural middle schools.Teachers from key middle schools got significantly higher scores of utilization of social support than those from non-key middle schools. Conclusion: Mathematics teachers from rural and from urban areas have significantly difference scores of social support, mental health status and different personality.
